issues
so, I still haven't got this whole blogger thing going perfectly... it takes a little more technical prowess than I first expected... or maybe I'm doing things wrong. either way... I'm going to try to get it working properly and improve the design. and if I can get this one mastered I might get another one rolling soon too.
so this morning I was on time at work(since we have to be now). and after finishing 2 hours ahead of time I went out into a booth ate a few crackers, drank some mellow yellow(because once it's gone we'll have orange soda), and actually ended up falling asleep for a few minutes. the store front before it opens is very peaceful... there's faint background music, the sound of nothing particularly interesting in the back, and a general quiet that fills the room. but, I ended up working through a class because some punks ordered 25 pizzas and we only had enough dough made for about 15(we normally prep for only a few small orders and the buffet as that's all we usually get during lunch).
so, I dominated that action...
after class I came back home and decided I'd call into work so that I could work on stuff for the competition. Well, I got someone to cover my shift. but then I ended up falling asleep and sleeping from about 5 until 10 or so. it seems like I woke up for a little bit at some point. needless to say I didn't get any comp stuff done. but, as it turns out, when I woke up I had a voicemail from sean saying we weren't doing the comp after all and that we were going to refocus and use the time to help prep for Climb Everest.
So, then I went to the gym. Everyone was watching football, so I was going to leave, then BJ came in and asked if I wanted to co-op the Legendary Halo 3. naturally I couldn't resist. so we finished 2 levels and he went in to climb. then I loaded my game that was on the second to last level on heroic. and I finished up that level. while looking quite impressive doing it. there was only one spot that I kept dying at. but, now I'm on the last level and am about to wrap that up within the week.

Working
if you're not up for a boring whiny entry skip to the bottom and watch the video.
so, I worked almost all day today. I woke up a little after 10, which meant I had to immediately rush off to the gym, since I was supposed to open it at 10 am. upon arriving I discover that there are 2 birthday parties, one of which had only 1 of 3 people scheduled to work. so,I spend all the time between some morning cl3aning and the first party finding people to work the second party. then, after working both the parties and teaching an old guy how to belay, I have to leave there and go to work at mazzio's where I end up being dangerously close to being late(or should I say on time?) I was covering someone's shift that went from 5 until 9. at about 7 I asked the assistant manager if I could leave early because I had some stuff to do, and because if I didn't leave early the new manager who is a complete moron would have to count me out. but, we ended up getting busy on deliveries(because they kept taking deliveries to places about 5 miles out of town). so, just before 9 I linger around the manager because I had already made known that I had somewhere to go, but she is so wrapped up in her complete inability to count money that she doesn't notice. so, I go and take a couple more deliveries. I get back from my last delivery at about 5 after 10. We're closed now so, she doesn't have to worry about any customers or anything... but she still takes over half an hour to count my bag. and after counting it I end up only having 8 dollars in tips, despite the fact that I made 15 dollars in delivery charges alone. So, we look around for some missing money, but I know something is wrong because I have all my tickets and the computer says I took 1 more than I took. so, the other driver reveals that he accidentally dispatched an order to me.
now, here's where it gets interesting, you would think she would just fix this and take that order off my name on the computer and put it on his... NOOOO, instead of canceling counting me out and fixing it she confirms it which tells the computer I made less than they owed me... well... naturally, it can still be quite easily fixed off of the computers... but after about 20 more minutes she finally figures it out(which by the by, after seeing the ticket the other driver dispatched to me I figured out in my head within about 5 minutes how much she owed me. so after those 20 minutes. she finally brings me my money, which, she calculated wrong. but rather than confuse her I just fixed it myself and gave the other driver the 1.50 that I knew she was going to short change him since she didn't move the delivery charge over to him.
then I had to show her how to run the credit card machine. and finally at 11:20(normally we get out by 10:30) we left.
so I headed over to the gym since I was scheduled to close it up. Luckily BJ had already started doing the honors.
Becka threw in some laundry and got some magical goods from walmart. and then we watched some Flight of the Conchord videos on youtube with BJ and David.

I just finished watching White Chicks with Becka, it was good. pretty funny movie. pretty soon I'll work on the layout of this thing... it's so bland right now.

Everyone else was doing it
so, Everyone else was moving over to blogger, so I couldn't resist. I will make an attempt to chronicle my time with this thing.
